This Weekend!!!

It’s Thursday again and time to start planning your weekend. In a city like ours there’s so much to do that it’s possible to get overwhelmed by all the expensive choices. It’s a good thing you have DAS Chicago to help find the best of what’s out there for free. Here are our picks for the best performing arts that you can experience this weekend for next to nothing out of pocket.

Start your Friday off right with Broadzilla! The Burlesque Beast. This show is put on by Red Hot Annie and the girls from Vaudezilla on the last Friday of every month at Chicago’s most infamous punk rock bar, The Exit. You’ll be taunted and teased by this classical form of provocative dance. It’s free and open to anyone 21+.

If you want to relax with some home style blues then trek over to Buddy Guy’s Legends on the corner of Wabash and 8th Street. From 5:30-8pm Jimmy Johnson will be laying down several sets of acoustic blues. Starting at 9pm The Chicago Blues Angels will rock out on stage. Headlining the night will be Eddie ‘The Chief’ Clearwater. Keep in mind that after 9pm it will cost you $20 but before it’s free to all so get there early to avoid paying the high prices.
